TABLE LAMPS

I’ve been making floor lamps for years, so I thought I try my hand at table lamps.

I combined black walnut and redwood for the frame, then added bamboo on 2 sides and milky plexi-glass on the opposite sides.

$425

I liked this design a lot so I made another lamp.

The light wood is ash which contrasts nicely with the walnut. For this lamp I used thin bamboo poles. The top is redwood.

The 69W bulb casts a soft glow $425

I like to use walnut and aromatic cedar. I use milky plexi-glass to shield the bulb.

Aromatic cedar lamp $375

I did not use a penetrating oil, because I didn’t want to obliterate the cedar aroma. Instead I wiped on a liquid wax, which brightened the color.

“Pyramid” $425

the colors really pop with this lamp. Tha dark accents are black walnut.

I have this lamp in my living room and it really illuminates the whole room.

Walnut and copper $475

This lamp was inspired by a floor lamp design of mine. The “walls” are thick because I used 2 thicknesses of walnut with a bamboo ply spacer. This created an empty space where I could run the lamp cord. The copper pipes I thought added a nice touch.

The “cantilever” lamps. The first lamp is made with walnut.

$400

For the next one I went back to aromatic cedar.

$400

Walnut shade $475

All solid walnut construction. Even has a handy “shelf” to display your “stuff”

The “shade” is made from 3 pieces of 3/4″ thick walnut, angled and joined together.

For the “shelf” I book matched 2 more walnuts pieces.

I’ve used Juniper wood for a number of garden structures. then I found out that it comes in 2×6, sanded on all 4 sides with rounded edges. Perfect for furniture.

So here’s my latest table lamp. It measures 20″ wide and 18″ tall. $165
